The number of days ahead of us here in San Luis Obispo County are winding down, and we're hacking away at that to-do list. I didn't realize it this was a goal on the to-do list, and I guess Alie didn't either, but we found ourselves racing for the train crossing today when we heard the whistles blow and the bells dinging for the first time ever on a road we ride every day. So, we were excited to have to stop at the train crossing in town for the first (and last??) time.
We finally took a picture of The Grade for you all - the section of Route 101 between home and San Luis Obispo. That yellow sign you see is a bicycle over the words "Watch For Surface Cracks"... don't worry, we have not ridden our bikes on this road!
We plan to embrace tomorrow's 70 degree weather (again? yup. really, it doesn't get old!) with our very first 100-mile ride of the whole winter! Check back for a post from two exhausted girls tomorrow after we hit up the In-N-Out Burger post-ride.
Miles Ridden Today: 27.5
